Bruges

After an hour train ride from Brussels, we checked into our hotel and immediately went sight seeing. Didn't realise Brugge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site too. It's sometimes referred to as the "Venice of the North"

Brugge is a quiet little town, pretty pathways, not a good place to be dragging your suitcasses..

The season is spring, but it's SO HOT! Good thing I brought summer clothes but regretting bringing winter jacket. Thanks mum!

After checking into the hotel, we went sightseeing, first stop the Markt, Market Square.

Cafe's littering the square

Horse driven carriages. A 30 minute drive around the city while rider points out attraction sights.

Again, chocolate heaven! We're still in Belgium after all

Chocolate machine

Later, we took a canal cruise around the city. It would be a great ride if it wasn't so HOT! It feels like summer has arrive early. Below are pictures taken during the ride.

After the canal ride, we walked around to look for more chocolates and souvenir (mum)

Easter. The chickens are so CUTE!

Walking around, we found a sweet shop. They have literally all kinds of sweets here, but what is with the weird looking girl in front of all the packages?

Was literally drooling as I snap a picture of this

Walking around I'm seeing alot of lace shops. Do people still wear this?

The City Hall on the Burg square

The Old Civil Registry on Burg Square seen as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city of Bruges.

Inside the Basilica of the Holy Blood.

Home to a piece of blood stained cloth which according to legend came from the body of Christ.

The spot to take the Canal Boat Cruises.
Said to be the best spot to take a picture in Brugge.

Our bedroom at Hotel Van Eyck.

Room is so pretty! And the best customer service ever! We told the lady that we couldn't make it for breakfast and she said she would pack us a picnic to snack on the train. WOW!

The Minewater Reservoir or also known as the Lake of Love.

Later, Mum couldn't resist taking a horse ride carriage around the city.

Mum and May

I dunno what drug they have in their chips, but it's SO good!

Then it's dinner time! I'm a little dissapointed they were sold out on mussels :(

The first pic of May and Yin

Me and Mum!

Our mixed grill. Not bad!

I still want my mussels!!
