Korea, Seoul (3rd Day)
After a couple of days of eating, it is only right to go for some sightseeing. We head off to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Remember to be there at 11am for English tour. If you miss that, you can go for 1.30pm or 3.30pm.
The tour was pretty good, and informative. Somehow the tour guide looks pretty bored when explaining. Probably this is her 50th or 60th time doing this.

After the tour, we headed to the exit, where the Blue House (current President official residence) is located. So convenient, it's just behind the Palace

Next, we headed off to Bukchon Hanok Village. We were a bit lost, but there were tourist guide's that provided us with a map to make it easier to walk around. (Look for a pair dressed from red from head to toe with a cowboy hat. You cannot miss them.)
Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village where the houses still remain traditional. The first thing we were told to do is to be quiet, because it's still a residential area, and a lot of residents were complaining about the noise from tourist
The reason we came here was to see was to see olden korean houses.. and it was the shooting location for Personal Taste :)
The house was quite hard to find and we came across it by accident. We notice that everyone were taking picture of the hill and we wanted to do the same, but there were so many people, we decided to take the same picture on the next lane. And... it turns out to be the house at Personal Taste. Talk about... lucky!

After walking around for many hours, we decided to drop by a cafe where they were serving coffee and waffles. There are many cafe's littered around Seoul that specializes in serving waffles and coffee. I think it's a great concept. A place where people could just sit around and chat (with awesome waffles)

Late into the evening, we decided to head back to Myeong Dong to grab dinner
What's a must have in Seoul for dinner? BBQ!
We headed to a shop called Wangbijib MyeongDong. It's located in the heart of MyeongDong, on top of a beauty products shop called Beautiplex.

Then, after snacking on a few street food littered around Myeong Dong, we headed back to our hotel for a good sleep. We are taking a tour to Nami Island and Petite France tomorrow morning!

Korea, Seoul (2nd Day)
Woke up the next day feeling hungry. The best part about staying in Myeong-Dong is that everything that you need is right at your finger tips and within reach. Most of the well known restaurants are located in Myeong-Dong, cheap facial and make up products are here and the food night market is here as well.
So, what's for breakfast?
Migabon Korean Porridge. The only porridge I would recommend trying is the abalone porridge. It is really good. I saw recommendations online for pumpkin porridge, that was why I ordered it. Big mistake :(

(Easy to find. It's on top of a famous beef broth soup restaurant - a tv drama was shot here. Or you can look for a restaurant with a very long line waiting outside)
In the afternoon, we went to play at Trick Eye Museum at Hong Dae. Pretty easy place to find. A lot of weird dimensional pictures to take in here

Trick Eye Museum is a bit tricky to get here. After leaving Hongik University Station, take exit 9. Walk straight to the cross junction, cross it and turn left. Walk one block, and you'll see a road between Holika Holika and Tony Moly. Turn right into the road. Trick Eye Museum is further in.
After playing around at Trick Eye, we wanted to visit all the restaurants visited by the cast of Running Man (They did a episode here where they visited the 'famous' restaurants or cafe in Hong Dae). But we couldn't, cause we were too full.. So we shop around at little shops littered around Hong Dae (cheap clothes for sale, catered for teens and young adults)

Korea, Seoul (1st Day)
Number 1 country in the bucket list has always been either Korea or Japan. Finally, the opportunity came in April 2014 and I can cross Korea off the list. So how was Korea? Weather good, people are nice, food is DAMN AWESOME!
Since there are only night flights to Korea, which is pretty awesome I must say, we reached Seoul in the morning, so we can start walking around.
We stayed in Sejong Hotel which is a pretty good location, the airport bus (6015) will stop directly in front of Sejong Hotel. Airport Bus stop is located directly outside the airport.
So, after reaching the hotel, what was the first thing that we ate? Myeongdong Gyoza!

Worried about conversing with them in English? No problem. Everything is in English, and they only have 4 items in the menu. Hand cut noodles and Mandu is a MUST order. Bibim Guksu for me is so so. But you must must try the kim chi. This is the hottest kim chi I have ever tasted. There is so much garlic flavor in here, one taste of it and you will be crying so much. It is that spicy, and it is damn good!
There are 2 branches in Myeong Dong. Get there early to avoid queue!
Later we went back to the hotel to sleep for a while cause we were sooo tired. It was a full flight and it was quite hard to sleep on a bumpy ride.
Next for dinner, we had Bongchu Jjimdak. Recommended by so many, so here we are! No problem in ordering, cause there's only 1 dish on the menu, haha

This reminds me of ginger chicken, but instead of ginger, it's dry chilli pepper, potatoes, zuchini and noodles. This is soo delicious and also incredibly spicy. Better to eat it with rice. And also, it's nicer to eat the chicken with bones. We had ours without and the meat texture isn't that nice :(
After dinner, we did some walking around Myeong Dong. Kinda reminds me of pasar malam, cause it's mostly all food stalls.
